It was great seeing you all at the First Grade Musical, “Whether the Weather” last week. The students did a GREAT job and I am so proud of them. Mrs. Burton worked hard with the students and all of their practicing and hard work paid off. They were so excited to perform for you! If you’d like to watch Wednesday’s school performance, here’s the link: https://youtu.be/ulguJxeUxW8.
Report Cards: Report cards for the 3rd Nine Week Grading Period went home in your child’s Friday Folder. Please sign and date the highlighted line on the envelope and return it to school. The report card inside is yours to keep.
Thank you!: Thank you for all the cards the students made me this week. The notes the students wrote were so sweet and they made me feel special. I appreciate your thoughtfulness!
PBIS Reward and Spelling Test: Our next PBIS reward is Friday, March 29th and students need 30 Dojo points to participate. The reward is Movie Day, and students will be able to choose from five movies they’d like to watch. Because of the movie and time constraints, we will have our Spelling Test on Thursday next week.
No Visitors in the Building: Georgia Milestones Testing for grades 3-5 is quickly approaching. While students are testing, there are no outside visitors allowed in the building during school hours. This includes lunch visitors, mystery readers, and copy helpers. Milestones testing will occur from April 15th-25th and May 6th-14th.
Cereal Boxes: We are in the midst of writing narrative stories, and by the end of the unit we will have a collection of stories. We are going to make a box to hold the stories, so we need one cereal box for each child. We are not going to do this activity for a while, but we are going to start collecting boxes to ensure we have enough. Thank you to those of you who sent in a cereal box, but we still need a lot more! Please save your cereal boxes and send them in for use to use. Thank you!
Spring Break: The last day of school before Spring Break is Friday, March 29th. I will not send Friday Folders or a Weekly Update next week. Have a great break and I hope you all enjoy the week with your children!
